I think lou will stay in Vancouver. He is their best shot to win right now.

Didn't Luongo's new agent just say that Luongo is under contract by the Canucks and that he is preparing for training camp in Vancouver?

Why wouldn't Gillis say he was sure of Roberto being the starting goalie instead of using the word optimistic. It's all in the details and the way he says things, little hints. Personally, being an Oilers fan, I could careless if Roberto shows up to camp or not and am pretty tired of all the talk about him.

Of course Luongo wants out of Vancouver, but he'll continue to show up for work like the professional he is, and has been, no matter how many times Gillis throws him under the bus.

Just a guess but I think Lou's camp knows he has to continue to be a pro and show up. But that said how could he not want out still? He has lost all respect for the Canucks management.

I think Roberto has already checked out of Vancouver. Well mentally at least.. He'll probably still be a nuck face come the start of the season, but I can't imagine how strange it would be to play for a team that you've already cut ties with in your mind. I'm sure he'll do what he can to muster up some loyalty and get through this train wreck. I've never been a Lou fan, but that franchise has handled things horribly and I would think he deserves better

I think Roberto has already checked out of Vancouver. Well mentally at least.. I must agree. When this all started a year or two ago, I thought who cares about overrated Bobby-lou. But with each twist and turn of the knife by the Nucks into Louango, I am starting to feel sorry for him. The Nucks have butchered this thing from the start, and Gillis is simply reacting and grasping at whatever he can muster to try to save himself.
It couldn't happen to a better franchise. Riot the streets Nucks fans...things will only get worse!

I wouldn't mind something like Vanek and a 2nd for Henrique and a 1st. If NJ does well, their 1st and our 2nd would only be about a 10 spot difference in picks. Imagine a line of Vanek Zajac and Jagr. I would even pay half of Vanek's salary.
